I often use istock photo for my design work. Here is a pretty nice parchment image.

I doubt I would buy one regardless, but I think the 2nd one looks better.

I can see a price point of 15 to 20.

I like option A better, especially the art and background.

Cool. I like Option B, particularly the color change between the standard slots and unlocked slots. Arrangement is a tricky thing with all the slots we have now but I think B made the best of it.

I like both designs a lot! I dislike “Armor or Robe” since none of the other slots specify two or more “subtypes” for them (like “pants or kilt”). I would prefer “Armor” or “Outer Torso” or something. I would also like to see a spot for “spotless” (I’ll just stack them in that spot). I think a cool variety for this type of idea could be categories: “treasure enhancers”, “AC mods”, “Save mods”, “Attacks”, “Level Up”, “Skill mods”, “HP mods”, “Situational effects”, etc.

My biggest worry would be how quickly this may become outdated and missing slots as new ones are created. On average, how many years does it take for a new a lot to be added? It feels like almost one per year.

2016 added +2 charms
2017 added Greaves
2018 adds Beads

So, yeah, I said two years, but more like one.

That’s why I couldn’t see myself paying more than $5. But I’m cheap.

Unless you include every slot that was added across TD's 15+ year history, you're cherry-picking the data to suit your agenda.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?

?

Okay, I’ll keep going
2016 - I forgot pants (so three total)
2015 - +2 Ioun Stones
2014 - second Cloak
2013 - figurines
2012 - +3 charms
2011 - Shirt
2010 - +2 runestones
2009 - +1 Ring

That’s +16 slots over ten years, with at least one every year for the last decade.

I really don’t understand your comment, or what you think my agenda is. I don’t think I have one, other than to explain why I’m not that interested. To be fair, Kirk specifically asked.

Having an agenda is not necessarily nefarious. :)

You sounded so grumpy. You scared me...

Even if I do have an agenda, I hope I negated any “cherry-picker” label.

OBTW, 2007 gave us Ioun Stones, so there’s 5 more - so +21 over the last twelve years.

Anyway - that’s all I got. I’m not getting into BC (“Before Chippie”) tokens.

I need to amend that.
Having an agenda that's accompanied by a PowerPoint presentation is ALWAYS nefarious!

I prefer a simpler less cluttered mat, keep it a neutral background. Or use a base template with various backgrounds for gender/classes. I echo and agree with using a on demand print service. I'd like to have a mat but we add slots too much to justify paying much for something that'll be relative obsolete in a year or two.
We're all the kind of people who enjoy the game on a "meta" level. We like talking about the game year-round. We buy tokens. We enjoy crafting. We get together during the off-season if we can. We are a very skewed demographic that way. -Raven
