TOPIC: Charming Set At Max Saves vs Other Tokens

Staring a new thread to discuss this. Just a placeholder for now while I plug token combinations in.


Barbarian base 6/2/2

Charming Set Max saves 12/16/12
Tokens used:
Charming Crown
Charming Earcuff
Charm Necklace
Charming Ring
Khing's Ring of Supreme Evasion
Charm of Enlightenment
Charm of the Sipquick
Vicious Charm
(Any 3 random charms because there are not 3 charms that effect Saves specifically just one that effect aspects of save ie Dominate, Charm)

CoH Max Saves 7/14/10
Crown of Iron Will
Charming Earcuff
Amulet of the Champion
Ring of Heroism
Khing's Ring of Supreme Evasion
Charm of Enlightenment
Charm of the Sipquick
Vicious Charm

CoH Max Saves 11/13/10* Ring of Fortitude used though one of the other save rings could be used.
Crown of Iron Will
Charming Earcuff
Amulet of the Champion
Ring of Fortitude
Khing's Ring of Supreme Evasion
Charm of Enlightenment
Charm of the Sipquick
Charm of Heroism


Conclusion: For straight save Charming set with Charm Necklace wins. I score it a 40 (adding all the saves together) vs CoH's 34 and RoH's 31.
I didn't add any tokens that any of the combinations could do because that would not change the evaluation.

Techincally you could use the charm Necklace with any of the combinations and increase the saves score but at that point wearing the the RoH or CoH is pointless.

The Charming Earcuff is of note that it is better without the Charm Necklace than any other Earcuff to date if looking at solely saves.

Definitely an interesting exercise.

I wonder how many of the Khing's Ring have been crafted?

Either way, at least a different option to get to a higher amount of saves.

What surprised me is that there are only 3 charms that directly affect saves. If there were more it would make the charming set (with charm necklace) even better for saves.

I admit I was missing Questor's because forget it is not a artifact.

Matthew is correct about fiendish and wicked. I shouldsaid positively effect saves.

Also Charm of Brooching lets you get 2 cloaks (relic and legendary) which give big saves.

charm of brooching doesn't affect numbers much sense all builds can use it double cloak. Without charm necklace build would lose minor charm (sipquick and vicious) for questor and brooching.
