TOPIC: My charms for your $$

Hello everyone.

I'm in some bad circumstances. I got into car wreck today. No one was hurt bad. But my car is totaled.
I hate to do this, but I need a car more than I need tokens. Cant drive to gen con with tokens.
I was hoping my family memeber could loan me money, but they said no.

I have three averice charms and two first tooth.
I know what I paid for them. I look on TD tavern and see what he sell em for.
I could maybe get $3500 or so if I sell em on ebay after fees.
But I gotta buy a car today or tomorrow so I can get to work.

$2700 and they are yours. But here is the problem. I can't wait until gencon. I need the money right away.
I can mail them to you. or we can meet up at the convention.

I'm not stopping true dungeon. I'm keeping all the other token so me and my brothers can still do our adventures this year. But I don't really have anything else to seel quick for the money. Do people do these kind of trades here? Maybe you would take pity on my bad luck and let me use them on our adventures even after you pay me, but I understand if that isn't OK?

Hi Jason,

I'm very sorry to hear about your car accident, but glad you weren't injured.

Your three Charms of Avarice and two Tooth #1 Tokens are likely worth significantly more than $2,700. I understand the difficulty may be that you don't have a sales record here on the forums to give someone confidence to send you the money before getting the tokens.

One way to go is, if you want to work out some deal with someone where you overnight mail the tokens to them, insured, and they send you the money after they get the tokens, you can likely get significantly more money to help you through this tough spot. There are several dealers on the forum that have established reputations that you can trust to send you the money after they receive the tokens.

The lack of trust on this board borders on paranoia.

Lots of my buyers are not active on the forums. If you watch eBay sales, you'll see lots of sellers who are also not active on the forums. If you talk with volunteers at Gen Con, you'll encounter lots of them who are multi-year volunteers who are not active on the forums.

If you require safety in your transactions, pay via PayPal goods and services, PayPal will side with the buyer if there is a dispute - no trust required.

I've had a few PMs with the seller, looks like they managed to make an arrangement. If you look at their profile you'll also see they created their account about 6 weeks ago, which would be an unusual amount of foresight for a scammer.

It is not helpful to anyone, and harms your own credibility, to be slinging around insinuations that someone is untrustworthy without evidence.
