TOPIC: 4 Golden Tickets unsold?

So, from the GT winners sign up thread, there are 4 unclaimed spots.

Is it then correct to presume there are 4 GTs still "in stock" at True Adventures HQ?

None are listed on eBay, and no one has one on the forums to sell/trade, so it would seem they are unsold, right?

I guess I am just trying to justify making another purchase this year...

Being hopeful? There's no "guaranteed" order size that a GT is certain, is there?

Even if there is, I doubt I would be able to spend quite that much...

There are no guarantees. Some players ordered 16K and didn't find one.

also I have seen people getting one and just showing up without being on the forums.

There was also one pulled at the con a few years back after the GT run had happened.

Some of the packs have not been opened yet with some of the larger buyers, I know of one player with at least 1K in packs to open.

Yeah, no guarantees at all...

Last year towards the end of the season there was one unclaimed at HQ, I did an 8k order right when it was announced, thinking I had an incredible shot or pretty much a guarantee. I believe I knew someone else who did an 8K order at the same time too.

I did not find a GT...

But the other person did. Who then put it up for auction, which I ended up winning. So last year I spent $10,500.00 in orders with zero GT. I forget what the auction price was, but it wasn't cheap...hehe.

This year I spent $14,000.00 and I got two GT (and I plan to probably do another $2k before Gen Con). It's crazy random baby!

This raises the question about what is the possible cut-off for people getting you their name so they are on the list to enter the building to go on the GT run.

Jeff said pretty recently that there always seems to be at least one or two GT that never get turned in. Maybe I've got one in my sealed packs from past years.

I do think Jeff has a fairly good idea of how many have been sent out though, as he's often sent emails along the lines of "only two Golden Tickets left to be sold".

I had 2 that showed up last year on day of( I think) it is easier getting two in instead of 40 that are not on a list.
I can handle homeland for 2-4 people
