TOPIC: Completion Tokens at Origins

Completion Tokens at Origins 6 years 9 months ago #1

Can anyone tell me what the completion token was for Origins? Mostly I want to know if it was different last year's Gencon and Gamehole Con completion tokens. I know there was a new one for TDC, but not sure for Origins.

Thanks!

There was none. Instead everyone got 1 extra draw from the treasure box.

Jedi is correct and I am sure that is great news for you Cranston (sad news for the community).

tokendb.com/token/ring-of-the-hallowed/

It wasn't technically a "completion token" (one per adventure), even though TokenDB says it was. It was more of a "premium token" (one per badge, 'thanks for your support.')

Tomato - tomato, potato - potato. (Makes more sense of you say it.)

That is a valid point. I think though they counted as completion for Ring of Heroism while you still could make it. Though I hope none went into making a RoH.

1) Premium is the Rarity for Cavadar Teeth and Ro7P segments. It definitely does not fit your example and it would be confusing to use the same word for two different things. (I'm looking at you, Free Action.)

2) These are the Sources: Which category do you think it fits closest?

3) Does it really matter whether you receive the token before or after you go on the run if you get it no matter what?

4) If it makes you feel any better, think of it as "completing" your payment & registration. :P
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?

Agreed, not Premium. Maybe Promotional. It's more like those promo tokens that got slipped into the swag bags, only its useful. But whatever. It's in a league of its own

Agreed - Promotional because you only got one at TDC (for a badge) and not 1 per run or many people would have extras (like in Completion tokens).

Now the Ring could show up at GenCon as a completion token - only Jeff knows....

Except that you didn't even need to go on a run to get it. You could have bough a badge and did zero runs. I do think that completion is probably the best spot for it, but we will all know that it is not really a completion token. :)
