Having used the interface, it's pretty good, I'd suggest:

1. CSV or JSON upload of sellers inventory.

sku, tdb_url, quantity, low, high, notes

(If SKU is provided overwrite any existing rows with these values).

2. If there were an API to set my prices low/high, and also determine the current best price available I'd used it.

You could charge me $1 per 100,000 API calls ;).

I'd suggest a:

"Got one of these to sell?" button on every detail page.

It would advertise your program, and hopefully enable the ability to list on consignment things that can't presently be found in TDb, such as complete common/uc/rare ONYX sets.

I'm getting an error trying to add this TDb URL:

tokendb.com/token/25000-gp-eldritch-ore-bar/

Error:

TokenDB URL must be for an individual token (should have the path /token/ in it) and your year must be listed on the TokenDB page (1)

Perhaps the script doesn't like the capitalized Yearless in the dropdown versus the yearless tag in TDb?

Try again for me (you did find a bug); be sure you select "Yearless" for the year of the token. You can also use the auto-complete box instead of pasting in a URL.

As for your other suggestions, keep them coming. I'm noting them. The "I have one to sell" is high on my TODO list. The bulk import/export and API integration will come later but I agree will be useful. I prefer to shake out any issues on a smaller scale and of course make sure there is a demand for this type of thing before I invest time into features that allow for more massive use cases.

There may be a bug (or delay?) with how things are working their way into the system.

I added a token you don't have in inventory, +2 Staff of Striking 2011 ONYX.

It is not showing up in search results.

If you go to the Ultra Rare page it shows up under "new arrivals" but not under the main area of the page.

I'd keep an eye on whether or not you are selling consignment items when there is an option to sell consignment.

One potential issue I see is for things like this:

www.tdtavern.com/3-deathcleaver.html

I'm curious how placement on the page and the 5 cent lower price will cause (or not cause) people to buy consignment vs. direct.

Right now I have ~15 tokens in the system that are listed as 5 cents cheaper than the direct price.

Any thoughts on making the default price difference larger than $0.05, or perhaps scaling based on price?

Keep in mind that if somebody just adds the product to the cart from the browsing or search results screens, they will by default get the least expensive option. So I do think some will sell this way.

Also note that you can set your high price lower than my price and then your token will be listed at your high price.

Very interesting! Will keep it in mind next time I have something to sell.

What happens if a buyer has Tavern items and Consignment items in their cart and chooses Origins / Gen Con Pick-Up for the shipping option?

If people are being encouraged to add links to the not-for-TokenDB without Druegar's permission, then I hope he's being given a percentage of the commission.

That's a great question. All consignment items will be shipped, even if the rest of the order is set up for pickup at a convention.

I do have permission from Jeff to use the information and images from TokenDB, however his request was that everything is hosted on my site. I do link to the original data out of respect for how awesome TokenDB is, however I have always done that (it isn't new).

When creating consignments, the TokenDB URL is used to provide a source for the official information for a token that is not already listed on my store. Once the my store listing is created the link is no longer used.

I hope that makes sense. Basically the URL is used to make sure there is no miscommunication about which token is being listed, as a point of reference.
