Almost makes one want to just start stocking up on these cheep Fleeces. Sooner or later we will see an awesome item that will require them like the Rings of Heroism did and they will all shoot back up in value again.

I highly doubt Fleece will rebound unless Jeff increases the amount required for Legendaries and also adds them to the Relic recipes. GHC is right around the corner which = even more Monster Bits out in the market. I predicted pricing would drop when this topic was discussed previously so $30 Fleece doesn't surprise me. Whether or not this is good or bad will depend on who you ask.

Ok. I had seen that. But it only tells us there will be one, not what it will be or what the recipe will be.

My $0.02:
It is likely that a Fleece will not be an ingredient in the story arc transmute.

However, the individual monster bits from each year most likely will be required (likely one of each bit from each year). Since this storyline arc transmute will cover 4 years, you will likely need one of each of the 16 monster bits across those years. (Approximately 1.6 Fleece worth of bits)

My assumption would be that Jeff telling us there will be a transmute should have little to no impact on the value of Fleece. Many/most people that care about Fleece likely have seen the patterns repeat enough to assume that we'd get a story arc transmute, the only real question was when (and what it will be). But then again, I see the story arc transmute as the primary reason for the monster bits, and the Fleece is just something to do with my leftovers.

But I'm also not rolling around with a ton of Legendaries, so I know my view is not the only one.

If Jeff had announced there would be no story arc transmute, I think that would have had an impact.

As it stands we don't know how desireable the transmute will be. We don't know the recipe for it. We don't know if it will eventually be coming out of treasures boxes like candy out of a Pez dispenser. (Looking at you, Icecrag Hero Earcuff).

@Fiddy - I agree

If there are too many Fleece about, it could be because people weren’t sure about the 4C so made more Fleece than necessary. But there are always transmutes that require current bits.

I always use the GP option when making transmutes, but if the price of a trophy gets driven down below $6, I’ll start using bits instead. I’m sure I’m not the only one. So I can’t see long-term price of Fleece going below $50, unless GP drops below $15/1k. At that point, we have bigger issues than the price of Fleece.

gold was going at $0.03+/GP
it is supply and demand.
