I wonder if Jeff has a pretty good idea of how many monster ingredient tokens were pulled in the 2016 cycle and how that compares to earlier years. He probably has much better data than what we've managed to pull together, and could probably make an educated decision on how to proceed.

I am sure that gameholecon and celebration added a bunch to that mix.

And we need to remember that with the ghosting restriction and new policy on sharing that there should be fewer pulls made across the board to help reign in the number of pulls.

Evidence of this include dropping values for Fleece and Monster Ingredient Tokens and the large amounts of 2016 Monster Ingredient Tokens many people have.

I totally understand some don't agree it is an issue that needs to be addressed.

I submit that the people that have large amounts of the Monster bits aquired them through trading and therefore want them. I don't know for certain. I can only draw upon data from the google doc. I know according to it I had more MB's than anyone (that submited info). I am telling you I I have 20 sets which I want. And only another 22 or 12 (I cannot remember if I made another GF) and 1 or 2 GF's. At present I could use all of them and 10 sets of the MB I have put aside to make legendaries that I don't have the trade goods for. Yes, I am not everyone but I know I am not flush with GF's or MB's. I was able to trade MB's for trade goods as recently as Origins so there is still a want out there. I have laid my cards on the table. These are the data points I have.

If anyone else wants to share actual data, I would be willing to consider it as well.

I too have 20 sets of monster bits (I had close to 1k pulls last year, and I didn't enter them on the spread sheet because I didn't track them.) Less than 8 of these were traded for, and those trades were one bit for another (eye for venom, lava for .. err .. whatever the last bit was).

I'm weird that I have a bunch of fleece, because I've not done many orange transmutes. I always *INTENDED* to .. but then I use up trade goods on relic transmutes and start to be all like 'do I want to spend MORE of these right now?. So after Icecrag, I mulched all my rando-2013-2015 bits into fleece, which I've never used.

I've also got a lot of 2017 complete monster bit sets on the sidelines. Not sure the exact number, but at least 20, probably more like 40 sets.

You all know that Jeff is not an idiot, right?!

TD is his and he has listened to all of us (within reason) since TD started oh so many years ago.

The most recent Trade Token problem was the Mystic Silk overload. He fixed it by requiring a boat load of Silk requirements the last couple or so years. I am quite positive that Jeff will help dilute the Fleece epidemic next year so they retain their value.

I am not trying to be condescending. Because if we don't voice our concern then it is quite possible Jeff may not know a problem might exist. But, being a 1st Ed D&D player that Jeff is, I'm sure he knows. ;)

How about a recipe that requires 10 Golden Fleece and makes a real life fleece of your very own! You could wear it into the dungeon on those days where the air is just a bit too nippy.

I think this is a solution in search of a problem. The vast majority of TD players, even if they are at CoA+ level, do not attend more than one con each year. Combine that with the rarity of the monster bits in the draw boxes, it doesn't seem like this is an issue for very many people.

Give me free 10 Fleece then do it! If not, as stated before by other people. We are not swimming in Fleece. I think that is a limited number of people that are.

I guess if you have gone out of your way to acquire more and more monster bits than you've really created your own problem.

I agree. Not going to guess at why people would want a price stabilization on one item.
