TOPIC: Might Token Set Reprints

I was thinking about UR Reprints, and wondering about reprinting the Might set (maybe one or two per year), but this time give each of them a Relic and possibly Legendary Transmute. Maybe that might boost them back up to #1 choice by many for level increase. Some of them would be pretty desirable even if used alone. What do you think? It is undercut of course by other ways to get to 5th Level, but if Jeff always wants a way to get there in print, this might be a good option for the future.

I think 5th level bonus supply is currently outstripping demand, and will get more plentiful due to:

1. Charming set still available in 2018
2. Next Eldritch piece available in 2019
3. Next Eldritch piece available in 2021

I would prefer we give the level boosters some time to breathe and appreciate.


For Legendaries, I'd like to see a Bard instrument, a non-martial class ranged weapon, and items in neck, hands, and ioun before we make more melee weapons, or waist slot items. Boots seems like a bad place to burn a legendary on given the BOT4W.

I could get behind a head slot legendary other than the helm we're likely to get next year.

You realize rogues won't be able to use the helm transmute, right?

I don't know. I don't think we really need even more AC creep. After the Redoubt shield, we already have classes that can reach AC in the mid-50's. A Redoubt Helm would only make that problem worse....

I wouldn't care if there were no legendary.

Or if the legendary did something other than add AC. Like a save bonus perhaps.

I agree but I think if we don't see a Redoubt Legendary helm next year we probably won't ever. My suggestion (still groggy from getting up) is a Redoubt Legendary (that doesn't add AC, something else as Harlax said), and a Legendary that fills a slot all classes can use (e.g. Ioun Stone, Hands, Waist, Eyes, Ears, Shirt, Figurine).

I doubt the dungeons see people stroll through with AC's in the mid 50's on a regular basis. That's up there. But I like Ed's idea of a Legendary Helm that add's something other than AC.

Agreed, I just want a relic that doesn't have a will save negative.

As for a new legendary, I agree that something all classes can use is a good idea, if for no other reason than a lot more of them will likely get made.

As long as in some type of Legendary Redoubt Helm I'm happy. As long as the AC boost stays at least the same as equipping a Redoubt Helm.

I need this Legendary to go with Rybak's Legendary armor and shield.

I'm hoping there isn't a Legendary Redoubt Helm. If there is a complete 3 piece Legendary Set of Armor, that will be tough to top in the future. Leave it as is, and the next Armor cycle could have something like Legendary versions of Armor and Helm, but not Shield. Someone could still get Legendary versions of Helm/Armor/Shield, but not with set bonuses.
