A 2004 Ring of Regeneration, of which I understand there were like only 20, just sold on ebay for $99.99!

Fess up - who snagged it?

I'll give you $150

Well - I might be wrong about the rarity.

And it's not that great a token anymore, so it's more of a collectors item.

For example I think the rare Ring of Dark Health is better for anyone who can equip it in a combat dungeon.

I have no idea what it's worth - I've literally never seen one trade hands before now.

But - I'll pay you $150 for it if you're interested :) - although you should probably see if you get a higher offer from someone trying to complete a set.

I have that one too, and I didn't know it was that rare. I got it trying to complete my Volunteer Recognition set, which is complete except for the impossible to acquire Ring of Three Wishes!

I don't recall what I paid for the ring, but I'm fairly certain it was more than $99.00. Good find Mongo!

I don't think it's that rare.

The Ring of Regeneration was reprinted as a PLAT volunteer token in 2007. It looks a lot cooler in PLAT and a lot of people upgraded. Even then, it wasn't quite as useful as it used to be due to more and better rings, more healing, and higher max HP.

The 2004 Ring of Regeneration is really of special value ONLY to woodie collectors and typically you could count the number of active collectors on one hand (really!).

This same Ring went unsold a week or two ago in an Ebay auction with a starting bid of $79. I think one sold in a forum auction not too long ago in the $70's. Like a lot of wooden tokens, there aren't many collectors actually looking for them. I'd guess there were a lot more than 20 of them printed. I agree with Incognito that most people seem to prefer the PLAT version of it.

At one time (around 2006) the Ring of Regeneration was the most valuable token in existence (not counting the Ring of Three Wishes), with the Dragonscale Shield a close second. How things change. :)

Mike - I just checked my notes, and it looks like I traded you for the 2004 version last August. It was maybe even at GenCon.

Trent, you did. I had an extra and it found it's way into your collection. :)

I thought about picking this one up to replace the one I traded you - I had it on my Wish List; next time I'll pull the trigger on it.
