I am wondering what would be the easiest route now. You need 7 points, so you could determine the cheapest path to that total. That might be 7 Amulet of Treasure Finding, but I haven't tracked the current values of the URTEs lately. Maybe just offering $$$ for a completed CoA would be the path?

Yes it depends on what you're missing. If you have no parts now, then buying one is probably cheapest.

If you plan on collecting parts over a few months or years... you might want to get the TEs first. Their prices are likely to keep edging up, while the trade goods will probably stay stable.

Plus, you can use them to help draw extra treasure to make some of the trade goods yourself.

Good luck!

Here is sort of what I've seen recently:

1. Amulet of Treasure Finding - goes for ~120-150 in recent ebay sales - 1 point.

2. Charm of Good Fortune - these are getting scarce, I've seen them going for $230-$300 in the last six months.

3. Ring of Riches - also getting scarce - no price points - but I bet you could pick one up for $300-350 if you put an offer out.

4. Horn of Plenty - I'm not sure there are enough of these around to be worth chasing down.

All of these tokens (likely) will be getting scarcer and scarcer going forward - as we know the URTE publishing plan for the next 4 years and it seems very unlikely any of these will be reprinted in that period (2018 - none, 2019 - another ioun stone, 2020 - none, 2021 - another ioun stone).

If you already have a Horn of Plenty try to complete the set of RoR and CoFG.

If you already have a RoR maybe look for a HoP and if you can find one complete the recipe.

Otherwise I'd keep careful watch on the price of the completed CoA versus the ingredients - it wouldn't be unusual for the ingredients to be worth more than the combined item based on past transmutes (but there are no guarantees).

From my recent experience of acquiring a CoA it was cheaper buying it out right compared to getting all the ingredients and crafting it myself. I saved hundreds. The killer is the cost of the TE points required to make it.

We actually know the TE schedule out until about 2026, although it gets a bit more vague:

2017, 2019, 2021: Ioun Stones

2023 & 2025: Brand new TE Tokens

2026: Transmute similar to Charm of Avarice incorporating AoTF and the two TE Tokens from 2023 and 2025

I'd think about getting the CoA soon. I'll bet now that the TE points are getting more expensive, completed CoA will soon get correspondingly more expensive.

From my experience I would echo that as well. One CoA offer I received was much more than the offer I finally settled for from another.

I know the Ioun Stones were confirmed but I never thought anything beyond that was confirmed by TPTB. I remember seeing Jeff mentioning the possibility of future TE's but nothing concrete past the TE Stones.
