TOPIC: Question about Rod of Seven Parts Vouchers

A couple questions about the Ro7P vouchers, since this is my first year owning the full rod.

When and how do we get these vouchers?

My understanding is that you only get one to use per year, is that correct? Not one per con?

Can they be saved from year to year, or do they have to be used in the year they are issued?

Since I acquired the rod last year, but never received a voucher, is there any way to get one from last year, if it would be useful to me at all?

You get them at check in.

No you cannot save them.

Thanks Ed. I am in the same boat as wade. I acquired my Rod at the end of last year as well so wondering if TPTB would be able to provide one.

It is possible that your rod was used last year though even if it wasn't by you. I believe the once per year is for the rod not the owner. If not then you could trade it multiple times during con and everyone that became its owner would get to use it. As I remember it (perhaps incorrectly), when you go to checkin to get your voucher the number is crossed off the list of numbers.

But it expires the next morning

That would be good to know, because i know i often want to use mine on the GT run and not on any other run during the con.

Got a source for that? I was under the impression it was one per calendar year.

I guess not. Just that fact that someone used a voucher last two years on the GT run

That was my source. Maybe they got it at WYC.

So revised statement. Get it at TDC so you can use on the GT run at gen con

No idea about TDC and vouchers.
WYC had them and that must be what people used on the GT run.
I forgot about that con and hopefully will never go again to WYC

Negative rection to WYC, eh?

I had thought that rod vouchers could not be used on GT runs. I'm never there for coaching, and I am running between rooms as an AC, but I thought the decision was made to avoid voucher use to slightly reduce the chaos associated with the first runs of the dungeons.
