My pulls at TDC were very ordinary.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

Went ahead and added my Origins totals to the spreadsheet. Far and away these were the best results I've ever had. I guess I can't copy down the totals columns, so you may need to do that in order to get my percentages.

In general, they didn't have 10 token bags when I asked, so I went with 50 count bags and then 24 single pulls at the end. I ended up with exactly 1 UR in each of the 50 count bags and 1 UR among the 24 single pulls. I had 4 5pt Relics, 3 of those were Icecrag's. I heard enough people pulling those to think the value is probably dropping. The strange thing about my 3 Icecrag's is that they were all in the same 50 count bag and I pulled them out of the bag within about 10-12 pulls. It was strangely very nice, but weird. My other 5pt relic was Blessed Redoubt Mail, which was very sweet after having an abundance of Redoubt Plate.

I did hear of some people getting 50 count bags with nothing in them, so I am feeling very, very fortunate. Sorry I didn't do my part this time to bring the average up for everyone else. I think the key was to never ever let me choose the bag. "No TD volunteer, you select the bag. Trust me, it will definitely be better." So yet another reason to give thanks to the wonderful volunteers.

Added Origins pulls.

I saw plenty of Icecrags being pulled, but consider they are mostly going into the hands of new players, who will either sell them off or (hopefully more likely) save them as they don't have a really good earcuff.

I'm not too worried about price fluctuating wildly. With the majority of players at Origins being new, I'm leaning more towards them keeping their better pulls.

It's not fluctuation if the price only goes one direction...

I fear Ice Crag Hero's Earcuff is on its way to the club that includes +3 Mithal Bracers, +3 Rod of Niltongue, and Ring of Improved Evasion, the: "Relics that you can't trade for a PyP Club."

All of that in 10 pulls is quite exceptional!

That is better than my 80 pulls which have been added to the sheet. 1 UR, 2 trade tokens, 11 Monster Bits and an even split of rare and uncommons at 33 each.

Lastly I updated the season comparison page to pull Origins data.

Thus far for the 2016-2017 (Pulls of 2016 Treasure) we have a bit over 8000 pulls worth of data.

Rares and Uncommons clock in at about 38% each.
Monster Bits just under 17%.
Other just under 6%.

Before Gen Con I will start a new thread and google doc. Please contribute if you like. I will add just the total stats to that one so we can seen how 2017-2018 compares to this season.

I did not keep track of my monster bits, rares or uncommons, but out of 153 pulls at Origins I received, one 10k bar, one shirt of blessed strength, and one enhanced creeper amulet.

I got two premade bags of 50 and the first had the shirt the second had the amulet, and I got the 10k bar using the wand out of the box.

I felt that the premade bags were bad enough that I question if it is worth continuing to get them at future cons. I was extremely happy seeing the 10k bar because I need a ton of gold.

As I tell everyone, I am pretty sure the premade bags come from the exact same pool as the wand pulls. I don't think Jeff and co are trying to balance them or make better or worse. I am willing to bet they just grab 50 or 100 and fill the bag. It is much easier that way that attempting to do anything else with them. That said I know folks are superstitious about their pulls so everyone continue to do whatever you think works best for you.

Yes, I've been told that the bags are filled from the same source as the treasure boxes. I had much much better luck with the bags this time.

I agree that it seems to be the same pool. I received a common in a 50 bag from Origins and I think that would have been caught if anyone did more than package the bags blindly.

Updated with most of my pulls (i'm missing a few from my run that the players kept with them and took home). Couldn't edit or add the totals as they're cell locked?

113 pulls, 2 Icecrags, 1 baneful shirt and 1 low end trade goods are the highlights. Seemed monster bit heavy for me as i'm at 19 bits out of the above.

Note that there were commons in the mix on purpose (according the Chandler it was on purpose this con).
We're all the kind of people who enjoy the game on a "meta" level. We like talking about the game year-round. We buy tokens. We enjoy crafting. We get together during the off-season if we can. We are a very skewed demographic that way. -Raven
