TOPIC: Ebay purp sales so far...

Ebay purp sales so far... 18 years 6 months ago #1

Gloves of Dexterity $93.00
Ring of Protection +1 $81.00
Girdle of Hill Giant Strength $135.07
Ring of Evasion Tokens (2) $56 (low rep seller) and $73.01
400 GP Sapphire Token $45.01
Ring of Regeneration $100

You can either look at this as excess, or as a good opportunity to get rid of your purps I guess.

Both, I suppose. I could get back all the money I have spent on TD runs by selling a purple!

I was tempted to buy some of these, but I resisted. One, I would rather trade for them. Two, its just too expensive for a piece od wood. And Three, I decided the money would be better spent on a costume for next year.

My thoughts exactly. I took that will to spend some spare money on a token and got a share in the Red Cross run instead. Better cause, same TD goodness.

Hmm, another set of Gloves of Dexterity in an auction ending in 6 days or so, but that looks like the last of this batch of EBay sales.

Grrr, I really really wish I could go to SoCal so I was able to join a bid group on the Red Cross auction!

Ah well... now we just need the new purples added to the Token Trader listings on the boards, and we can start arranging proper trades for them, instead of seeing them vanish to EBay sales.

Do you think those prices are too high? I think you could trade 16 very rares for the Girdle of Strength at The GenCon TD event. At 1 per token bag that would be $160.00. Just food for thought. Hope it doesn't lead to fakes being made.

I'm working on it as we speak. With the sales from eBay and the trades that people are sending me, I'll have the next version of the Token Price Guide out by Friday.

And then I'm sure there will be many more discussions. :D

You could always contact one of the groups bidding and offer to chip in a few dollars, even if you won't be able to run. Especially if you have a group of friends doing it that you would like to see win.

It would be the same as just sending a donation straight to the Red Cross. ;)
