  • intelligent

  • well-spoken

  • not belligerent jackasses

...all modifying "jackasses"?  otherwise, you are referring to us as some undefined thing, which is both 'intelligent' and 'well-spoken'...but what that thing is we still do not know (unless also referring to 'jackasses').
