So if incomplete or changed sets are available for purchase, then people who purchased them under faulty or incorrect information should also be able to trade them back in, right?

My initial suggestion was for the "set" items only for incomplete sets.   Not open season for all older purps.

Yeah, but that's *exactly* what happened last year.

First it was just the "Mithral Chainmail" that was going to be available (it was actually going to be a bona fida reprint at one point). Then they opened it up to all "set" items. Then things got murky and it became open season for all older purps.

If we open this can of worms again, it's only going to be a matter of time before an accidental mailing of an incorrect newsletter or enough people complaining (or begging) for an exception, results in a repeat of last year.

I don't think there's enough aspirin in the world to deal with the headache that Jeff would have if last year's scenario were to repeat itself.

As much as I as a new token collector would like more years like last I really just don't think its a good idea or a fair one. I dont mind the whole you can buy tokens from last years set every year so this year we can also get 2010 tokens and in 2012 we can still buy 2011 tokens etc.. but more then just makes things a bit of a pain..and well I like the idea of not having access to some tokens from older sets unless you can buy one from someone or trade for it. Now im not saying every once and a while we should not do reprints.. for example

when we face the draco lich on 2012, we could print all the normal UR's tokens and then also make available Mithral set items or such, now they would be a just that year kinda buy a separate set release of UR tokens or something.

Then a few years down the line 2015 when we face something uber hard and it would help if you char was an extra lvl, reprint some might items along with the Normal set etc..

Look at the number of threads in token trading for people looking to get the Crown of Might and/or Ring of Fire Elemental Command.    (Including mine).

I actually thought the Crown might be less desireable now since you no longer need it for the 3-set power, but apparently people want it for the undetermined 5-set power?

The apparent demand for it is yet another reason to offer at least those two another year (or 1 year after set completion).

I was not looking for crown of might for the 5 set power.  I was looking for it because I would rather have a fighter give up a helm (+2 AC) than a shield (+4 AC).
