I understand that the plan is to only offer current year and one year back on UR tokens.    Will there be ANY exceptions given for set items?  Specfiically, incomplete sets such as the mithral, might and Elemental Ring sets.

I would like to see set items offered for more than one year back until the final item of the set is released?

Items that would be affected include:

Crown of Might
Ring of Fire Elemental Command
Mithral Chainmail
Mithhral Cap
+1 Mithral Longsword

Any possibility of this happening?

I'd hope not, seeing as how all of those were just offered last year, and offering them again this year would be silly.  Especially since all the items you listed were established as being a part of sets last year.

Really, I think that setting open season on set tokens kind of kills the reward for thinking ahead, especially when the sets were announced by last year.

Jeff made a very clear ruling that as of now no URs will be made available beyond the current year and the prior year.  All others are lost to the mist of time.  Of course, there is always the possibility that Jeff will include an out of print PURP in a future set - I think the only token he's said he wouldn't reprint is the Horn of Plenty.
Always interested in 2003/2004 tokens, Artisan Tokens, Ultra-Rare Tokens, and other Rarities.  Please PM me if you have those items available.

Weren't several 6 UR from 2007 already reprinted in 2008?   Many also had wooden ones issued previously.

+2 Keen Scimitar in 2007 and 2008
+2 Long Sword in 2007 and 2008
Cloak of the Mage in 2007 and 2008
Girdle of Hill Giant Strength in 2007 and 2008
Gloves of Dexterity in 2007 and 2008
Ring of Focus in 2007 and 2008

I wasn't sure if it was because they ran out in 2007 or specifically wanted to make available again in 2008?

I do believe Mithral Chain was offered as PYP in 2008 and 2009 as well.

I'd rather see the old set ones offered as PYP a little longer than burn new UR slots reprinting them.

I am not suggesting the Dragonscale and Celestial sets be offered again as they are complete.   I am only suggesting the Crown of Might (and Orb next year) be retired when the rest of the Might set items are from this year.      I am also suggesting all the Mithral items be offered through next year when the boots are retired, etc.

this was already done with the mithral set...in fact, the whole debacle started with allowing us to pick the mithral chainmail, and spiraled into allowing everything this past year.  there is no need for it again.
not that i would mind for the crown of might because i didnt realize i was going to want a second one, and you could try to argue that the changes to the set may warrant the items being available again.  but since the changes actually just give more options, i dont think it is worth the trouble.
for the ring of fire elemental command, you may have a better case.  we just found out that the set bonus for this will require us to turn in all 4 rings...many of us would have been much more likely to get a second set if we knew this ahead of time.

so, basically, i would like to see the RoFEC reprinted (or at least made available again) in a couple years, but the rest is good as is.

We knew in 2009 the Crown of Might was going to be a part of a three item +1 level set from the start, though we did not know it was going to be expanded to a five item set and gain an additional power. Without the Crown, it is more then possible for all classes gain the +1 level for the next two years- though without the crown, perhaps not in a optimal gear arrangement.

We also knew in 2009 the Elemental Command rings were going to be a set, but not the set power or that it was going to be a combo item.

We knew that the Rod of Seven parts is going to be a combo item, but did not know it was going to be part of a set power. We still do not know the power of a single combined Rod of Seven parts.

Personally, I think that the 2 year PyP availability is a fair compromise. While I'm scrambling to make the necessary trades, and having to reprioritize token acquisition, the only reason I'll push for a reprint for an earlier set token would be if a set had not been announced before hand (For example, if the Boots of the Underdark suddenly became a part of an Underdark set).

I would combine a hint of wisdom + a dash of wit + and a shower of rainbows as a combo item, but I think I'll the puppy nice and safe with me.
