Water, you posted a really awesome set!
If I may riff on it a bit:
Robe of Useful Items – Cloak Slot- Once per room allows the DM to pull a single token out of the stash of turned in, expended tokens. If the DM has no tokens, the patch was empty. (As an alternate, the pulled token cannot leave the room, or the magically conjured item automatically dissipates.)
I like this a lot! Cool effect, but doesn't put too much load on the DMs or the game design. Given its a cloak slot I would like it to have this effect and also +2 to all saves (I.E. less saves then Dougal's cloak, but at least as much as the rare +2 cloak, if there isn't the +2 to saves then I would say this should be a rare ... which, now that I think about it, does seem plausible!) Edit: I was assuming that the player had to immediately use the token drawn (I.E. they didn't get to really take the token). If they get to take the token with them then it is definitely in the UR space and doesn't need any plus to saves.]
Charon's Flagon – Charged UR – Temporarily restores ghost to a perverse “unlife” state that allows player to participate in a single combat. Player gains no XP for that room.
Also very cool idea. As a twist I would offer:
One time use - For one room, creates an "unlife" version of a dead comrade. The unlive comrade is invulnerable all physical and spell effects (other then dispel magic which will immediately end the effect), -BUT- the player of the token can take no action while the unlive comrade is in play, and if the player is killed, then the comrade instantly dispelled as well. Unlife comrade gains no XP for any room they are animated in but they can be animated any time after they are dead, including in following rooms.
Executioner’s Hood – Head slot- Moving with a terrifying sense of inevitability, the executioner’s presence causes a moment of fatal hesitation in enemy monsters.
Player rolls initiative die twice, taking the higher of the two scores.
Note: Effects do not stack; a single Hood may only be used once per room.
(Alternately, could be called "Scary Pirate Tripoint Hat")
Very cool. If it takes the head slot I think this could be argued to be more rare-ish then ur-ish.
Fool’s Cap – Head slot- reduces damage -1 from incomplete rooms (perhaps -3 to scale with Boots of Skipping).
Awesome idea! (... Ideally using this token should require the player in question to literally make a dunce cap for themselves). I would think a 50% reduction in damage would be more fair then -1 given that they would have to give up a helm slot
Ring of Life Transfer- Move HP between two willing PCs at 1:1 ratio
Very cool! I would argue for a non-ring thing, something like a idol/figurine/something-hand-held. A twist that pops to mind would be to only let it average the hp of the two players. This also may be able to drop into the rare space.
And my personal favorite, because it absolutely won’t happen….
Neck of Glory- Taking up two rings slots, the Neck lets user can wear an additional Amulet. Two of the same Amulet cannot be worn.
Yuppers. I was thinking about an "amulet of amulets", but yes, I agree, that seems WAY too powerful as a UR, its more at the Arcane Recipe level
