Hiya,

My group has the other 4 tickets for this slot, though we're looking to try to return 1 of them since our friend can't make it now. We're all first timers.

Hiya!

Welcome! Always great to meet new players, and it's a pleasant surprise to see you post here! :)

I posted a tongue-in-cheek recruitment if you click < Here >.

We have a recruited the other five people. I can post the spot for your friend who was not able to make it.

Are you familiar with the character classes for true dungeon?

Regarding your extra ticket, if we don't find someone on the forum, I can purchase it from you at Gen Con, and we can see if we can get another player at true dungeon.

So if by familiar you mean have I looked through the guide and read a couple of articles then yes ;) otherwise I'm happy to hear any advice regarding them. I'm checking with the other two regarding if they prefer a more hand-eye coordination class or a memorization class -- I think we are all pretty easy going regarding what we end up with (as long as we dont have to sing but it looks like you have a bard covered!)

For the hand to eye coordination characters, The hardest are the monk and the Ranger. We've got the Ranger covered. The monk uses two pucks, which it makes it harder to be accurate, but has the potential to hit twice as much as other characters.

The hand to eye coordination classes are easier in general to play, since the spell casters can still attack the way that the non-spell casters do.

For the spell casters, We have an experienced, excellent Bard.
I am well-versed at playing the druid as well.

The two wizards have mainly attack spells, whereas the Cleric has mainly healing spells. The wizards can potentially cast spells for all their attacks. The Cleric generally slides a Puck, similar to the hand to eye coordination classes when healing is not needed.

The Cleric uses beads to help boost their spells. No worries if you don't remember what the beads are if you want to play Cleric. We can boost up the cleric's healing spells.

The wizards memorize planar charts similar to D & D to boost their spells.
Wizards tend to be more vulnerable in combat. The paladin can guard one of the wizards so that melee attacks affect the paladin rather than the wizard.

Some of the players have expressed an interest in playing this at hard-core, which is more difficult than the normal difficulty level. Monsters would have higher hit points, and be harder to hit, As well as hit us more easily, and do more damage to us. Failing puzzles would do a bit more damage to the party.
I can provide your group with equipment if you would like to buff your characters up if you are willing to try the higher difficulty level.

So Adam would like to play one of the wizards if possible and Jim would like to do a melee class and he would be ok trying out the rogue as well. I'm ok trying out any of the classes so
I'll fill in whatever is left. I'm checking regarding playing hard mode and will get back to you shortly - I think we would be up for trying it if you can kit us out and you think we won't be at too much of a disadvantage right off the bat having not done it before (aka it be nice to not die instantaneously - ha!)

If we do find a taker for the extra ticket - let us know how you want to handle it - I think it's too late to transfer them online right?

Regarding classes, sounds good. I will prepare builds for them. For you, does Cleric interest you? If not, I might be able to talk our human fighter into being Cleric. :)

Regarding the ticket, it is too late to return it online. I can pick up the ticket from you on Wednesday and give you the money for it then. Sound good?

Cleric works for me!

We're getting in probably around 7 or 8 on Wednesday. I'll message you my contact info so we can coordinate meeting up for the ticket exchange.

Quip, thanks for helping set up our builds!

Jedibcg, thanks for the gear offer!
