I saw there are 8 Giants Tickets and 2 Grind Tickets available, scattered around, if anyone is looking for singleton tickets, or one set of 2 Giants tickets. Good luck!
Always interested in 2003/2004 tokens, Artisan Tokens, Ultra-Rare Tokens, and other Rarities.  Please PM me if you have those items available.

Score! This fits perfectly between my 6:48 (ending) Giant's run and my 8:02 Draco Nightmare run... Hopefully I'll have enough time to get to Draco Nightmare

I also have one of the 7pm tickets, and I was wondering if I'd need to drop it... Aren't the TD runs 2:15 now, due to the extra time in coaching?

IE: We'd be a few minutes late from the Giant's run..
Blimey!

It sounds like there's food in the Storyscape this year, so Fizzikx should be able to grab something...

I'm not sure about the rest of you guys but I fully plan to eat the tasty tasty brains of my fellow adventurers during Grind ^.^

But yes Raywind does bring up a good point about being slightly late - for now I locked down the ticket but I may have to dump it later on =/

On a side note, for regular runs I max damage because usually I dont die. On this though, what's the focus of gear for most Grind players?

If you are doing nightmare level grinds, focus on damage and pray to Pelor for a quality cleric and druid. This is the event where all of those items like Bracelets of Zephyr, Pouch of Tulz, and Belt of Retrieval can make a HUGE difference between life and death. Rocky can correct me here but I believe we used 3-5 PoDD last year with a very experienced group.
You need to spot vulnerabilities quickly and adapt to each new creature or wave of creatures. Incognito is no slouch and he will give you the challenge you requested by buying a ticket to Grind.
Bring your healing.... and your friends' healing. (yes that is friends plural)

It depends a lot on both the character you are playing and also the difficulty level.

HINT: I design the monster stats so that there is a reasonable chance of hitting and being hit by the "average" class of that difficulty level (assuming they have access to the best equipment of that color). If you have a very high stat on Normal (to hit, AC) then there is relatively low marginal utility to increasing that value a lot higher because you will likely succeed anyway. If you have a very low stat on Nightmare, you're probably going to fail on that check anyway so it may not be as worthwhile to try and compensate for that stat.

Going for a "heavy damage output" build is a valid strategy but don't neglect your defense entirely unless you have plenty of healing to spare. Last year, I was actually surprised at how low the AC's were of some Purpled out parties tackling Nightmare!

If you want to maximize success, you really want to take the time to carefully think about and plan your strategy and your token build. Especially on Hardcore and Nightmare, choosing the right tokens to bring/equip/use can make a major difference.

Normal should be reasonable to complete, especially for experienced players. If you have lots of Reds and Purples it should be a cakewalk.

Hardcore should be challenging and beatable for all but the most equipped parties (who might find it slightly easy). Starting at this level I won't be pulling any punches.

Nightmare is going to be very, very *hard*. It's not going to be Smoak-like in difficulty, but this is a victory that you're going to have to really *earn*. The monsters are statted on the assumption that the whole party is loaded to the gills with UR's (though not necessarily tokens of a higher level). Even players with Relics/Legendaries/Artifacts should still find this level challenging.

Overall, you should go in expecting to have fun, rather than expecting to "win." It's supposed to be a challenge that will test your mettle and survival skills!

And being creative can also pay dividends (such was the case several times last year).
