BTW: Eric.... I have no idea how or if it could work out... but if you would consider putting another Grind slot in.. say for 11PM Fri or Sat... that would be awesome. Doubly awesome if I could be auto-signed-up for it.

Normally I would love to. Unfortunately, I do have late, end-of-the-night (11 P.M.-ish) Trevail/Dracolich runs scheduled for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Here are some possibilities that I'm brainstorming right now:

A. One or two Wednesday night "practice runs"

1. Would need Jeff's okay
2. Everyone (including all volunteers) need to exit the area by a certain time (it costs TD extra money to stay after that time. I thought it was 8 P.M. but I'm not completely sure)
3. Hypothetically, maybe I could use a chunk of the "volunteer training time" to do a run or two, which is normally from 5-8, I believe.

Does anyone know exactly what the volunteer training schedule will be on Wednesday?

B. Squeeze in some extra runs on Thursday / Friday / Saturday

1. Grind runs from 12-3 and 7-11.
2. Unfortunately, token transmutation times are from 9-11 and 4-6 and they're supposed to be using the same room.
3. I don't know how much set up or clean up time Dave needs.
4. Also, originally there was supposed to be space for two rooms. I can actually do the Grind in just one room, so hypothetically maybe the space could be partitioned so that we could still have extra Grind runs.

C. Extra runs on Sunday

1. There are currently two Grind runs (at 10 and 11 A.M.)
2. We could potentially do some earlier Grind runs. Previously there was talk about transmutation earlier that morning - I don't know if that is still planned.
3. There is the potential for more runs afterwards, but the two main factors are when we need to vacate the area (for final tear down) and I would personally like to know when the dealer room is open on Sunday (for my own planning purposes).

And there were some drops, make no mistake. We went from no Giants to a few tickets. But a very few. No grinds, and there were still lots of dracolich tickets. So yeah, not much production.

If more grinds did become available on Sunday I'm fairly sure they would be snapped up quickly (by me if at all possible )

I suspect that most people were dropping the items they did not want from their cart yesterday before going to checkout. For instance, after they cleared up my account problem, well after all the wish lists had been processed, I was able to get 4 Friday Truecraft tickets (which had been sold out earlier) and later that evening was able to grab 3 more. And I was able to grab a 10 slot of Dracolich Combat for Saturday evening, that someone had probably dropped from their Cart.
Always interested in 2003/2004 tokens, Artisan Tokens, Ultra-Rare Tokens, and other Rarities.  Please PM me if you have those items available.

Alrighty, I give up. Cart-drop was obviously a complete bomb. But, as they say, you go to gencon with the events you have, not with the events you might have wanted.

Icognito,

I will probably have no luck in getting a True Grind ticket this year, but would love to help play test on Wednesday. I'll be there all week so I can do it anytime on Wednesday.

Yeah, TrueGrind was the one thing I didn't manage to get tickets to for my wife and myself.

The way I've always done it in past years was just to have people mail it beforehand or if I knew them well to pay at the run. I wanted to make sure that people didn't just ditch the run which would leave us in a last minute lurch.

I don't want to drop the tickets in case something screw happens and some random person scoops it up. Especially for grind and the nightmare combat, I'm hoping to find people who are actually purped up and can survive.

Henwy,

I have a run at the same time as the two grinds. Balls. Hope you find good people to run with. And if not at least some meat shields. What? Incognito plans on bringing dead PC's back to life? GOOD LORD!
