OK now I'm confused!?!

I took Jeff's post 2 mean that the May 19th was a done deal. That the June 23rd was a possibllity for a 2nd date.

Jeff please way in as I need to buy plane tickets.

Scott, that's how I read it also. From what I read of Jeff's post, May 19th is locked in, and 23 June is a 2nd possible date.

May 19th is firm. I am checking with game store owner about adding June 23rd. I will post when the 23rd is confirmed.

Jeff,I will definitely be there on May 19th. I would not be able to make it on June 23rd.

I really appreciate you doing this. Will save me (and you) a ton of postage costs.

It is official. In addition to Saturday, May 19th we are also going to have another Token Exchange Party on Saturday, June 23rd, 2012 at GAMERZ in Greenwood, IN. It will run from 10am to 5pm. Thanks for your feedback on making sure we provide enough dates to attend for everyone.

SPECIAL NOTE:
I will be publishing rules to follow for these Token Exchange Parties. Basically, you must follow the same rules as the online TEP -- including bagging and labeling. We MUST do it this way to have ANY hopes of getting your orders processed at the Party on time. To that end, I will make this offer to those attending. If you go online and complete a TEP order and print out the forms and labels -- and then attend a Token Exchange Party using these forms and labels, I will refund you $5.00 order fee. This is the easiest way for collectors attending a TEP to get their forms and labels. More info to come.

See you all in May and June.

Jeff, the first paragraph says the 2nd party will be April 23rd. It is supposed to be June 23rd, correct?

Hi Jeff,

I packaged up my trades back before the guidelines of having to do it in stages came out. For instance, I have a big bag of all the tokens needed for a +3 Mithral Bracers, but some of the tokens are in "raw" form (i.e. a bag of 25 tokens instead of the trade item token). Do I need to pull all those "raw" tokens out and trade them for trade item tokens first, and then reassemble and resubmit all of my transmuted token recipes? If so, there's no real way I can print out the forms for the transmuted tokens ahead of time.

I'd suggest for this event allowing either the trade item tokens or the "raw" bags of tokens for the trade item tokens. You'll be counting them all anyway, and if there are any errors in the raw bags, the person will be there to fix it in real time.

Thanks for your input. We tried doing what you are suggesting at the Token Release Party and it did not work. It gets too confusing for traders and those processing the tokens to allow hodge-podge recipes. It slows do the process a great deal and it causes errors. Because so much trading will be going on at the TEP, we must process all orders in a consistent and methodical manner -- or we simply won't be able to handle the work load. So, we are asking everyone to do a little more work so that the TEP can accomplish its goal of getting all the orders processed on site.

So, yes...we will need everyone to follow the recipes as published. Sorry for all the extra work, but in the end it will make the event run much more smooth and allow us to process all the orders that day.

I see what you mean about the labels and order form. Good input. Perhaps the best thing to do is for me to make a PDF available that has all the recipe lists -- as well as pages of Trade token labels. That way collectors coming to the TEP can print out all the recipe checklists and Trade token labels they need in plenty of time to organize bags for the TEP. Providing this sample PDF of lists and labels will mean that collectors won't have to use the online Token Exchange Program when organizing tokens for the Token Exchange Party in Indy.

We will also have plenty of blank forms and Trade token labels available at the TEP when you are submitting an order for processing.

We learned a great deal at the Token Release Party, and we hope these procedures will help to make the TEP better for collectors and processors.

Thanks again for your input! Sorry for the extra work, but it should make the TEP much more enjoyable for collectors and processors. I really want to make sure that we don't have to take any tokens back to Carbondale for further processing.

Jeff,

Thanks for the guidance. I think I can still make it work. I'll just make a note in each of the transmuted token packages of the trade items that they are missing, and then once I convert all my raw tokens to trade item tokens, I can just add those back into the various transmuted token packages and hand those in for trade-in. It is more complicated, but it can work in 2 steps.

Thanks again for setting up this event, and donating your time (and all the other volunteer's time) to make it easier for us to trade in all our tokens. It saves us a huge amount of time and shipping expense, and gives us a fun opportunity to get together!

Maybe you can bring a couple of monster sliding boards, and some pucks, and we could have impromptu bar fights while we're waiting

I thought about suggesting also bringing the Treasure Map token boxes so we could turn in Treasure Map tokens for picks, but it sounds like you will be fully occupied with the transmuted token trade-ins.

Thanks,
Mike

I think we can do this! Go ahead and bring your Treasure Map tokens.
