TOPIC: Graphical Token Character Generator?

Re: Graphical Token Character Generator? 11 months, 3 weeks ago #133

The set calculator in the spreadsheet is designed to consider melee and ranged builds separately and take the higher set content of the two. In your example, you have 1 might item in melee and 1 might item in ranged, so adding only 1 additional item elsewhere wouldn't be enough to complete the set. If you were also using the orb in the melee build, it would correctly give you three pieces (but not four pieces). This change was made when it was discovered that equipping the orb in both builds double counted it as a item.

Just noticed shield of deflection isn't coming up as selectable under the Barbarian.

Hey Amorgen,
Is there any chance you could do an updated spreadsheet that would reflect the just listed Amulet of Wonder affect for this year?

Thanks!

Ugh. I just read the AOW effect. The extra saving throw points and hit points are easy. I have to give thought to the Dwarven weapon item. I'm not sure the amount of work required to support this would be even worth it for a single year effect. This isn't trivial at all. And this late in the game, I don't know how the online is going to be ready.

I completely understand, for the time being can you add in the +2 saves and 4hp? If not no worries.

What is the status of the online generator? Is it supposed to be up to date? I havnt used it in quite some time as the spreadsheet seems to be more up to date and reliable.

Thanks much!!

EDIT: I was able to manually modify the spreadsheet to add in the new bonuses. If you dont feel up to it - no worries it was VERY easy to adjust! The only thing - just like you - I dont want to handle or modify would be the dwarven part. Meh.

Looks like the bugs are still there today for the Online Equipper.

Okay...thanks for all your patience!

Please give the Graphical Token Character Generator a try at this time. We think we have all the bugs worked out of it, and the programmer leaves on Saturday for a week. So, please give it a good test and see if we can ruin his pre-vacation days!

He did note that he is still working on one issue with a character saving correctly. If you notice that, he said leaving the program and coming back in should fix it (for now).

Thanks for the feedback and testing! I appreciate it!

OK. I'm not sure if all DNS servers are working yet, but I think the old character generator link should work again. If someone wouldn't mind testing.... let me know.

Yep, the old link works again.

Where is the old link? Or do we still access it from our "My Account" and then "View my Characters and Parties"?
Always interested in 2003/2004 tokens, Artisan Tokens, Ultra-Rare Tokens, and other Rarities.  Please PM me if you have those items available.

The problem is that we're using this same thread for Amorgen's spreadsheet and the Graphical Character Generator. The graphical generator is still under your 'My Account' link, and hasn't changed.
Blimey!

If a Ranger or a Monk uses two melee weapons, the +hit is still additive.

IE: A +1 weapon in mainhand and a +1 weapon in the offhand gives them a total of +2 to-hit on the stat bar.

The other bugs involving the Orb and Crown of Might appear to be resolved, so good on that.
Blimey!

One thing I have noticed is that when I load a character that has already been set up and try to change one of the items to a different token (or even just remove the token), it will completely clear out the character's equipment and start from scratch with just that one token at the top of the "Equipped Tokens" list, regardless of what slot I selected, and there are only 4 possible slots under the "Equipped Tokens" list, the top one is filled by the token I just selected and the next 3 are empty. There is also no corresponding circle filled in on the picture of the character.

Then if I add another token, either in the same slot, or in a different slot, the "Equipped Tokens" list, while still empty save for the just-added token, once again has all the empty slots (too many for me to count, but it is all the possible ones) and the new token is in the correct spot (the first token I selected no longer shows up) and the circle on the picture of the character is filled in with the correct color.

I created an entirely new character, equipped him fully, saved him, closed him, re-opened him and this no longer happens to the new character. However, for every one of my old characters that I built, it continues to happen.
