TOPIC: Number of Tokens in existance?

All this discussion of trade tokens and prices on ebay has made me think of a few puzzling questions. Token buying in bulk is at an all time high so modern Ultra Rares and special tokens almost don't seem so special. There seems to be a ton of people getting relics and rod parts now. So I was wondering how many of the older special tokens are out there. What do you think forum, how many of these older tokens are actually out there?

Rod part 1 (I have one so I know 1 exists) Super high value so I am guessing not many. EN guessed 75. I would say not more then 100

Rod part 2 (Again I have 1) Again I've seen these sell on both the forums and ebay for a ton of money. My guess, 75-100

Rod part 3 (1) More valuable then 4 or 5 but way under 1 and 2. Guess, 150

Rod part 4 (who doesn't have one of these???) Guess 500

Rod Part 5 (it almost seems as if people are giving these away) Guess 2000

AoW (1) Guess 300

HoP (I must admit I don't have this) Guess 300

Amulet of Greyhawk ( I own one, but it seems to me that its value actually peeked a few years ago but I could be wrong) Guess 120

Is there any other token you think should be on this list? Chime in people, I would love to know how many of these we think actually exist.

The question of existence is not the same as in circulation. Like every collectible game there are some players who have tokens who don't play anymore and might just have them sitting in a box somewhere. Also, are tokens that we send in for trade tokens reused (put in treasure boxes) or are they disposed of? I can see how wood tokens are disposed of but have no idea how the newer ones are taken care of. Interesting topic, but without knowing what the starting point was (how many were printed/put into circulation) we may never know.

I've thought for awhile that Ultra-Rare token prices in general are dropping because supply has exceeded demand for many of them (especially armor and weapons), where every year more and more enter circulation, and the yearly increase in Ultra-Rare tokens exceeds the increase in token collectors. Trade Item tokens are now helping remove most excess Rare/Uncommon/Common tokens from circulation, but nothing so far is really being done about the growing surplus of Ultra-Rare Tokens. Maybe we are nearing the point where there needs to be an Ultra-Rare Trade Item Token, or maybe Relics that include as part of their Recipe something like "any 3 Ultra-Rare Tokens".

Oh gods, Purple Aragonite (25 UR weapons and armor /cry) works like Kriptonite only it affects Smak instead of Superman.

That probably wouldn't phase Smakdown.

ARchmage and I were discussing the number out there and were even estimating the number of complete Rods that would be built. I guessed 50 in the first year and maybe 10-20 in the time after that (unless Jeff recirculates the rod pieces).

I wonder if the Rod is going to be modified like the Supreme Ring was, going from a Legendary to Eldritch (Relic) Token, and only available for one year instead of forever. As another Eldritch Token, I could see it being treated the same way the Supreme Ring was.

I figured he peels the stickers off and reuses the bases.

that is what i assumed was happening. some sort of chemical bath that removed the stickers so they could be reused.

I just tried it with my pocket knife and a common, 10 seconds and the print sticker on top is excellent quality, came off in one strong section.

Okay, here's what I have or had:

Ro7P #1 have (guess - 150)
#2 I tried to steal ENs. It didn't work (guess - 150)
#3 have (guess 300)
#4 have (guess 1000)
#5 waiting on (guess 1-2000)

AoW had (guess 300)
HoP have (guess 200)
AoG have (guess 200)

Others I wonder about:
Hourglass of Answers (that have not been used < 10?)
Special (that have not been used < 50?)
Cloak of Displacement (75?)
Dragonhide Cloak (150?)
